Key Nuggets: Doing What You’re Meant To Do

 1. What is your calling right now?

To serve people on a deeper level and help people live alignment to what is calling them and finding tools and resources and even people that are going to enable that.

My morning routine, including morning meditation, reading books, and journaling with morning pages helps me move through the day without worrying about what’s happening next. Connecting with people throughout the day also helps me keep my energy up.

2. What was that moment like when you decided to go all in and fully committed to doing what you’re meant to?

My moment came in 2016 when I went back to university to do my masters. It was a decision that I made for security because I didn’t know what else to do. I also just got fired from a job because the schedule conflicted with these university courses that I didn’t even enjoy taking. I struggled with anxiety and was feeling depressed because I wasn’t sure what direction my life was taking. I hit a breaking point and had a friend who went to the doctor with me and helped me get a counselor. That helped me get into mindset work and manifestation work.

In one year I went from feeling like life couldn’t get any worse to having a much more hopeful perspective.

3. How did you start?

I read a book called Overcoming Low Self Esteem which helped me shift my habits and fall in love with myself.

It started as a blog but then I realized that what I was sharing was more impactful and so I decided to offer coaching as well.

4. What was one time when you really wanted to quit? What helped you keep going?I started a digital marketing business without considering what my passions really were. My business struggled because I wasn’t really enjoying it. I had a coach who suggested that I take a pause for 2 weeks. That pause helped me see clearly that the right decision was actually to quit that business.

5. What’s was one of your first successes?

Traveling overseas alone taught me that I was in control and that I get to set the standard for my life.

6. What was one of the best things you did that helped you create this life?

Going to therapy and hiring my first coach. My coach really supported me and it showed me what it’s like to have support for my business.

10. What do you do to check back and make sure that this is still the path for you (i.e., that helps you decide that this is all worth it?

Regularly check in with goals and visions. Always staying in touch with values and visions and I ask myself “is this still for me anymore?”, “is this something that I still want?”.

11. What is a book, podcast, person, or teacher you would recommend?

  • Book: Happy Pocket Full Of Money by David Cameron Gikandi

  • Book: Top 5 Regrets Of The Dying by Bronnie Ware

Resources:

  • Book: Overcoming Low Self Esteem by Melanie Fennell
